About
Adele Delp, CMP, CPMP, CTDI owner of Canine Fitness in Helena Montana, conducts weekly classes for puppies, family dogs, agility, rally and obedience training. We also offer private lessons and consultations for problems with companion dogs and dogs that have recently been rescued.
Classes are in small groups so everyone gets individual attention. Our priorities are to make training enjoyable for both the dog and handler and to teach the dog to think and make decisions. Workshops for beginning agility, Canine Massage and Exercises are also available. Adele has been training dogs and teaching classes for over 25 years. She has competed with her dogs in obedience, rally, agility, conformation and herding. Working as Veterinary Tech for a number of clinics though out the years has given Adele the opportunity to learn more about animal behavior and the need to prepare your puppy or dog for situations they may encounter in their lifetime. It has also given her a deeper understanding of anatomy and movement. CREDENTIALS:

Adele is a certified Canine Massage Practitioner (CMP) and Canine Performance Massage Practitioner (CPMP) through the Northwest School of Animal Massage (www.NWSAM.com). Her performance massage certification addresses specific techniques for animals that are very active such as those doing agility, hunting, herding, obedience or other activities that require repetitive movement that may produce stress points in the muscles that are used.
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) for Animals JSJ is an ancient Japanese art practiced world-wide to promote harmony of the body, mind and spirit (part of our Canine Fitness motto). The idea is that when a body is in harmony it will release pain or tension and result in faster healing, both emotionally and physically. JSJ does not directly involve massage but does compliment it very nicely. It is a gentle method of placing hands on certain areas of the animal''s body to harmonize and restore energy flows. Adele studied JSJ for humans where she learned how it benefited her and wanted to learn how it would benefit animals. She then had the opportunity to attend a JSJ seminar taught by Adele Leas, the author of “Jin Shin Jyutsu for Animals”. The class was held at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab Utah. There Adele had the pleasure of working with the rescue animals in the sanctuary, many of which has been abused or neglected and had trouble trusting people. There she saw how the gentle touch of this therapy worked on those animals by heightening their awareness of their own bodies and build trust between themselves and humans. If you would like to learn more about this ancient healing technique and how it might help your pet, please see the website www.JSJforYourAnimal.com or feel free to contact Adele and ask if it might be of benefit for your pet... and you!
